Stefano Barabino is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Head of the Ocular Surface Center at Sacco Hospital, University of Milan. He holds an MD from the University of Genoa (1998), completed a residency in Ophthalmology (2002), obtained a PhD in Immunology (2005), and undertook a two-year fellowship at Harvard University. A specialist in dry eye and age-related ocular surface diseases, he has published more than 200 scientific articles and serves on the editorial boards of multiple international journals including Ocular Immunology & Inflammation and The Ocular Surface. He is a founding member of the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society (TFOS) and President of the Italian Society of Ocular Surface.
