Mario Rotondi is Full Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Pavia, Director of the School of Postgraduate Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Head of the Unit of Endocrinology at ICS Maugeri IRCCS, Pavia. He earned his MD (1992), postgraduate degree in Endocrinology (1998), and PhD in Endocrine and Metabolic Sciences (2003) from the University of Naples. His research centers on thyroid disease physiopathology, thyroid autoimmunity, chemokines in autoimmune endocrine disorders, endocrine disruptors, and thyroid cancer. He is a member of the European Thyroid Association (ETA) and Italian Society of Endocrinology. He has published 306 peer-reviewed articles with more than 12,269 citations.
