Daniela Perani is a Neurologist and Radiologist, and Full Professor of Neuroscience at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. Since 2001, she has headed the Research Unit of the Division of Neuroscience at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele and coordinates diagnostic neuroimaging at the Nuclear Medicine Department. She directs the School of Specialization in Neuropsychology and the Doctoral School of Cognitive Neuroscience at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. Her research focuses on structural (MRI), functional (fMRI), and molecular (PET) neuroimaging of neurodegenerative diseases and cognitive neuroscience, including language, memory systems, and music perception. She ranks among the top Italian scientists in Neuroscience and Neurology, with over 700 papers and an h-index of 109.
